Reindeer

One of our neighbors is an avid hunter so we are used to arriving home to deer hanging up in the driveway next door every fall. This year is the first time that Arden had a reaction to what he saw. He asked why there was a reindeer here. Then he went over to see it when it was still on the back of the truck.  Arden concluded on his own that it was dead (he said "the reindeer is really really dead"). Arden also talked about how he thought a car or truck killed it. We had him talk to the neighbor about what happened to the deer and Arden seemed ok with the explanation but Arden said he did not want to eat the deer. After several attempts to correct Arden's reference to the deer as a reindeer we have given up so if you want to hear his version of the story ask him about the reindeer.

Yes this is the closest Arden would get to the deer and it took a lot of convincing to get him close enough for a photo.
